I just run for x time a day, I have no idea how much distance I cover. But I do it indoors so stairs are involved, I’m sure that helps the old heartrate. I try to run every day for 20 minutes followed by 10 or more of cardio yoga. I was doing 45 minutes of running a day but kept re-injuring myself. I lost like 75 pounds though over the course of a year or so so I could probably run longer with less strain now.
@agnophilo - that’s awesome =] in twenty minutes I can’t even get 2 miles in… and uphill or stairs… no way for me! lol… but I’ll be adding things like that soon when the weather is nice =] training for a 5k.
@xXrEMmUsXx - You can’t tell from just the face so much but you don’t seem overweight. Don’t think you have to be a skeleton to look good.
@agnophilo - Well I’m not fat, but I am overweight. I have a very small frame. 5’3″ and 148 lbs. I started at almost 160. I was a nice size 6 when I got married at 122 lbs. that seems to be where I look the best. When I was only 100 lbs my senior year of highschool I looked kind of sickly. So, I’d like some meat on my bones… the only problem is my stomach. I don’t mind being a size 10 in jeans and dresses, I just don’t wan to have to only wear certain style shirts trying to conceal what 2 c-sections did to me =[ My fear is that I’ll get to 135 an my stomach will still need to tucked away. I know a few beautiful women that just can’t get rid of it no matter how thin they get.
I’m not all about being skinny and i think a women with some meat on her bones is far more attractive (personally) than a very thin frame. my husband does too, but health isn’t all about looking a certain way either… and I’d love to feel healthy and strong. Not that you wanted all this information Mark, but I just kept going. LOL
Nice teeth!!
@ShimmerBodyCream - lol – thanks? haha. they are kind of ‘out’ there when I’m smiling a lot. =]
@xXrEMmUsXx - Most people exercise to be pretty more than to be healthy. And remember thin doesn’t mean healthy, studies show people who exercise and are overweight are healthier than thin people who don’t. And yeah, nobody wants to cuddle up to a skeleton at night.
@agnophilo - I know I’m pretty, even at my highest weight after my first son. I’d even say i’m beautiful. Regardless of looks I usually feel pretty darn good about myself. Sure, we all have insecure days where someone is strutting something we don’t have, but I know what I have and celebrate it. I’m not perfect, but who needs perfect?
And I too know some very very unhealthy skinny people. Skinny doesn’t equal health. And yes, I want to be thinner, but I know that my body frame requires less fat to look healthy naked. With clothes on, most people don’t believe I’m the weight that I am. I got lucky that I put the weight evenly in the curvy places.
@agnophilo - it’s really not healthy to not love yourself. I’m not walking around prideful, but I also have to be confident enough for someone else to believe me when i tell them what it is that is beautiful about themselves. I’m not falsely humble or falsely prideful. I’m just content with who I am as a person. I feel good about myself. There is a lot I could let overshadow my good qualities, but i want to propel myself forward with the better things and try to balance out the things that need work while I work on them.
I’m just being honest.
@xXrEMmUsXx - We should like ourselves, but be careful not to spend too much time gazin’ in the mirror there : P
@agnophilo - putting me in my place huh? you know i’m not just talking about physical beauty here right?
@xXrEMmUsXx - Oh so you’re awesome on the inside too now? : P
I’m just funnin’ ya. You don’t seem arrogant or full of yourself. Well you did a little above but whatever.
